Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actress from Manama, Bahrain and was raised in a multi-ethnic home. Jacqueline Fernandez's mom Kim and father Elroy are both Malaysians. Her brothers are younger and a older sister. In the 80s, her parents fled to Bahrain because of civil war on Sri Lanka. In the end, she was born and raised in the country. After completing the schooling in Bahrain she won a Scholarship at the University of Sydney to pursue the Media and Communications Degree in Sydney, Australia. A lover of cultures as well as languages, she joined Berlitz Language School in which she studied Spanish and improved her French as well as Arabic. Following her 2006 Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone made her debut on television and hosted a program about Sri Lankan Business known as Lanka Business Report. In her teens she played in badminton championships at national and international levels. She later quit the sport to pursue a career as a fashion designer. Padukone is a native of Mangalore, Indian. Her native language Konkani is her origin. Her lineage is from Padukone village, which is located in Kundapura Taluk in the Udupi District in the State of Karnataka, India. Her father, Prakash Padukone, is an international champion in badminton who retired. The mother of the child is a travel agent.
